Orange County DUI Attorney Case Results
The following are just a sample of the numerous positive case results that the Orange County DUI Defense Law Offices of Thomas Wallin have obtained for their clients.

1st offense DUI Under 21 BAC 0.16 Harbor Court (Newport Beach) – Client was in the Fire Academy and facing both DMV and criminal charges.  After providing several witnesses testimony at the Irvine Driver Safety Office in Orange County, we were successful in winning the DMV portion. On the criminal side, on the first day of trial, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office agreed to a reduced charge that was not drinking and driving related which saved the clients career.

1st offense DUI in North Court (Fullerton) – Client had a BAC of .10 reduced to wet reckless and won DMV. Client kept their job as a sales rep and was able to continue to provide support for the family.

2nd Offense DUI and Violation of Probation in North Court – Client had just pleaded guilty to his first offense in North Court and hadn’t even completed his alcohol school when he picked up his second DUI. Our Orange County DUI and Defense Law Firm were able to negotiate an alternative sentence deal that involved house arrest and no jail time. Client was able to keep his job.

3 arrests for DUI in a 3 month span. All cases out of Orange County with 2 cases in Central Court (Santa Ana) and the other drunk driving case out of Harbor Court (Newport Beach). Our Orange County DUI Lawyers were able to have one DUI case rejected in Santa Ana and had our client plead to both cases in separate courts with high BAC levels and do NO JAIL TIME, not even house arrest.

Orange County Third Strike Felony DUI case in North Court (Fullerton) - Bail was set at 1 million dollars. Client was still on parole for both vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI with Injury. Also had another misdemeanor DUI from a few years before that. BAC 0.16. First offer was 25 years, then after several court appearances and negotiations the offer was reduced to 12 years. Finally, after months of hard work, negotiations and motions our Orange County DUI Defense Law Firm was able to get a deal for only 4 years allowing our client to still have a chance at a future.

2nd Offense DUI BAC 0.21 with accident West Court (Westminster) – After negotiations with the Court, worked out a deal for only 20 days of house arrest allowing our client to save his job.

Jury Trial 1st offense DUI with accident - Client had previous attorney that would not take the case to trial and told the client to plead guilty. Took over case and had a 4 day trial that resulted in a 45 minute jury deliberation and a verdict of NOT GUILTY on ALL COUNTS.

Jury Trial involving DUI related to drugs including Oxycontin, marijuana, and methamphetamine with positive amounts for all three substances. Client was a school bus driver for special education children and while working, crashed the bus into a bus stop and tree.  Client was charged with several counts including VC 23152(a) DUI Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, 2 counts of Child Endangerment as well as HS 11550 Under the Influence of Drugs which carries with it a mandatory 90 days jail.  With NO Toxicologist willing to testify for my client I was able to cross examine the State’s Exert Toxicologist who was flown down from Sacramento as well as the arresting officer (an alleged Drug Recognition Expert) in the case and point out the State’s weaknesses. After 4 days of deliberation, the Jury came back as a HUNG JURY keeping my client out of jail.
